who care about a stupid gopher. This is racing brother. More stupid hype. Drop the flag and run the cars. When Nascar hubs up together here soon they need to decide if the COT is really the item it is advertised to be. Far from stock and just butt ugly; designed by who? The rear spoiler or splitter may I say has great down force when the car is traveling forward, but turn the car around and guess what? The splitter is an air foil. That is a fancy name for a wing. That means it creats lift in reverse. That is not good is it? Even the roof flaps cannot keep that thing on the ground; look at Carl Edwards at Talladega. The old spoiler worked great with the roof flap setup, but Nascar would not leave that alone. Now you have a wing that will break off when wrecked. And while Nascar is reengineering everything lets make everyone run the same amout of HP. That way Carl Long is a no story. Get off his back and Mayfields while your at it and give Tony Stewart a drug test everytime he comes to the track; and Kyle Busch while your at it.

Fox and Nascar,Have you both bumped your head?Does anyone at either place have sense enough to get in out of the rain!Who was the braintrust that put "Chocolate Meyers"and the punk busch in the same commerical?I have been a fan for along time, but Nascar and Fox are making it very hard for me to stay that way!I feel sorry for the people,(crew members, drivers, sponsors, owners from the past)that have to associate with a "PUNK" such as kyle douche!

What, is there a "re-naming" contest? I still think "Digger's name should be Otto", full name, "Carson Otto" (like Bond, James Bond.)
Oh well, you said today that NASCAR is trying to figure out how to get the interest back up; ticket sales, etc. How about making sure that the races are televised on "free tv" all the time. You say that the recession may have something to do with it. Well duh, if people can afford cable or dish to watch speed, espn and tnt...if "they" can't afford to help out NASCAR. How about just NOT showing ALL the races from June to mid-September!?!?!?!?! BOY, THAT'LL SURE KEEP MY INTEREST UP IF I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE THEY'RE RACING!
Then what, ABC picks it up after school starts and all the "family things" and leagues and whatever else is in full swing again? That's sure a good way to draw people to the sport.
It has gotten better, I know a lot of people that only knew NASCAR ran for the Daytona 500, and open wheel for the Indianapolis 500. Now that there are tracks closer to the midwest, i.e. Kansas City and Chicagoland many more people that I grew up with get to go to races, and I had a good time going to Texas speedway....OK, I'm getting "off track".
If NASCAR wants some ideas to get more people involved, keep it televised through the season...(they WASTE our Sunday air time for football all winter) and maybe we could franchise an I-80 raceway or get a track in the Denver area so there are more options for the "Midlanders" to get to.
Well, that's a few thoughts...Thanks for your time Dan

whats all the talk about dayrell? i have been around raceing since my father raced in the 50"s. my 1'st time at daytona was when u could tailgate right out front of the main ticket gate.have sat in the budwiser box ,pepsi box. camped out on the backstreach and every turn over the years. was at the race when dayrell spun and flipped on the 3'rd turn. knocking off almost every piece of sheetmetal on the car, am glad he is still here! go on with toyota! raceing is an allamerican sport this is the last stand of our technology.we got tp beat them so lets hear about them. this is a sport of brothers so if his comments sound one sided,, duah!sports fans he is michael's brother. get off dayrell's back he has raced with all of the greats. lee petty fireball roberts to name a few his fun side of announcing and knowledge of the sport is increadable. love u dayrell. hop u r arround a long time.ever meet u i'll buy u dinner.--mm--

Yeah...when the h_ _ _ is Fox Sports going to throw that idiot Waltrip out of the booth? Its clear to everyone that he simply there to promote Toyota...Why not invite all of the car manufacturers into the booth so they can plug their product? This is shameless...espeacially when he can barely speak at all...well thank God for small blessings.

I think Darrel waltrip is the GREATEST!!!! I was never a fan when he raced, but I think he is FUNNY and very informative. I like his brother Michael. All he needs is a break.

Darrel Waltrip is sounding more and more like J. Jarrett. I am tired of hearing the accolades of Toyota and Michael. I think he needs to be censured about his family remarks. I don't mind the Toyota remarks so much as I have leasrned to accept them, but I could give a S--- less about his feelings about his brothers accomplishments over the winter season. To me, all teams have improved over the winter season and I do not wish to have his brothers improvement over the winter season. After all we are dealing with the two finest whores of the industry...
